Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am super excited to start this new blogging journey, and I'm really glad you took the time to stop by and visit a while. Let me introduce myself. I'm Jill, and I am the founder and lead coordinator of Couture Events in New Braunfels, Texas. I started this company on a wing and a prayer, and I am so overjoyed that I did. It has been a blessing to be in an industry doing something that I am truly passionate about. As you can see on the "About" page on the website, I've been working towards this goal for quite some time. I am definitely a testament that if you are patient, wait on the Lord's timing, and work your tail off, things will happen when the time is right.
I'm thrilled to be bringing you my first blog post today, of all days. Some people ask me how I became an expert on love and the celebration of relationships. My first answer is always "because I know love first hand." Today is my wedding anniversary, and I am celebrating 21 years of a life with my best friend. (22 if you count the year we dated) 'Ole Charley-boy is a pretty great guy, and he is definitely my biggest fan. He always has been, and I think that's one of the reason I tend to keep him around.

He's been beside me through all my crazy life adventures, and, believe me when I say, I have had many. I could probably write a book. Maybe one day... Our marriage has certainly not been perfect every day. NO marriage ever is. But, I'll tell y'all I made a commitment to myself before I said "I Do" that I would not give up. Even when things were hard, I had already made the decision to keep going. Through those days of being mad, I never stopped being in love. Love can get you through the mad! The rest of it is wedded bliss, and Mr. McCarty has taken real good care of my heart for a very long time. Twenty-one years of being on the front lines, and (b-t-dubs) my parents are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year- THAT has taught me how to be an expert on love and the celebration of relationships. Today I am celebrating the most important relationship to me. Happy Anniversary, Charley. I think I'll keep you a while longer.
Thanks again, guys and gals, for coming to visit my blog. Come back often as I share with you more stories, adventures, relationships, celebrations, funnies and all that my experiences have to offer. I hope that if you are looking for someone to help you celebrate a special relationship, you will give us at Couture Events a call. We sure would be thrilled to assist you. Thank y'all, and many blessings! ~Jill
